Lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and commissioning work through preconstruction, construction, testing, and project turnover. Coordinate teams and stakeholders while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, budget, and operational-readiness standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead MEP and commissioning activities from preconstruction through project turnover; develop project-specific strategies and team goals.
- Manage resources, staffing, schedules, budgets, and corrective actions across project teams.
- Oversee installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and life-safety systems.
- Lead technical and constructability reviews, resolve issues, and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, clients, and internal teams.
- Plan and execute commissioning, pre-functional and functional checks, integrated systems testing, and operational-readiness reviews.
- Ensure contract, specification, manufacturer, safety, quality, and client requirements are met.
- Manage inspections, quality metrics, turnover documentation, deficiencies, and non-conformance reports; drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary client contact for MEP and commissioning, lead project meetings and executive reporting, and develop project personnel.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in MEP construction, commissioning, or mission-critical project delivery.
- At least 5 years managing large project teams and complex MEP scopes.
- Experience managing commissioning programs, integrated systems testing, and operational turnover.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation practices, commissioning requirements, and QA/QC processes.
- Proficiency with commissioning platforms such as CxAlloy or similar tools.
- Equivalent combinations of education, military service, technical training, and industry experience may be considered.
Nice to have
- Experience with hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial, or similarly complex projects.
- Professional certifications such as MP, PE, CCM, LEED, or CxA.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
