A defense technology manufacturer is building a red-team unit to evaluate counter-unmanned aerial systems. This role leads the development, deployment, and field testing of realistic adversary drone platforms.
Responsibilities
- Conduct red-team evaluations by simulating real-world offensive drone tactics against defense infrastructure and operational systems.
- Design, build, modify, and deploy proxy adversary drones and related tactics.
- Plan, execute, and assess counter-UAS performance during field trials.
- Lead and safely coordinate complex flight operations and deployment days.
- Identify operational blind spots and vulnerabilities from an adversarial perspective.
- Work with internal teams and external stakeholders during field evaluations.
Requirements
- Mandatory operational and command experience with offensive or reconnaissance UAV/UAS systems.
- Hands-on experience with tactical drone development and flight operations.
- Understanding of fiber-optic, GPS-denied navigation, RF, and visual-positioning technologies.
- Experience building and assembling FPV drones, precision electronics soldering, and component-level hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong organization, communication, and field leadership skills.
Nice to have
- High-level FPV piloting experience.
- Experience integrating, configuring, and tuning hardware and software in Betaflight or ArduPilot.
