An established defense and security organization seeks an IT Infrastructure Engineer for its communications and cyber division in Netanya. The role leads infrastructure projects and owns the design, deployment, configuration, and ongoing operation of advanced IT environments in Israel and abroad. It
Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure projects from initiation through delivery
- Act as the professional authority for IT infrastructure
- Specify, design, deploy, configure, and operate IT infrastructure
- Establish advanced communications environments in Israel and abroad
- Coordinate infrastructure projects involving networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, and storage
Requirements
- International CCNA and MCSE certifications
- At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience
- Experience planning or participating in projects combining networking, information security, systems, and storage
- Deep experience deploying and managing VMware or Nutanix virtualization environments
- Experience with NetApp, vSAN, or Dell EMC storage systems
- Experience administering Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and SMB file shares
- Experience with Cisco and Fortinet networking and security systems
- Experience with Veeam backup solutions
- High-level written and spoken Hebrew and English
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Strong communication skills, independence, and the ability to work across multiple interfaces
Nice to have
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
- Experience with Linux operating systems, including Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or AlmaLinux
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
