Responsibilities
- Research and define architectures for advanced communication standards
- Define PHY system specifications and architectures for future solutions
- Define low-power architectures
- Collaborate with algorithm, hardware, software, RF, and validation teams from early algorithm studies through system validation
- Participate in the integration and testing of wireless systems spanning embedded software, hardware, and radio
- Support customer engagement and product deployment
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a background in signal processing and wireless communications
- Experience defining systems and architectures for wireless communication chips
- Experience productizing wireless chips from design through market deployment
- Deep understanding of PHY receiver and transmitter modem chains
- Understanding of power, area, and performance trade-offs, with the ability to optimize algorithms for hardware implementation
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, or UWB standards
- Knowledge of MIMO and OFDM/OFDMA
- Knowledge of RF
- Knowledge of the MAC layer
