Join a wireless communications R&D team developing innovative PHY and RF algorithms for next-generation radio products. The role covers research, modeling, simulation, AI/ML applications, algorithm specification, and support through implementation and integration.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and prototype novel PHY/RF algorithms for advanced cellular radio products
- Build MATLAB and Python models and run simulations to validate concepts and quantify performance
- Analyze trade-offs among performance, implementation cost, real-time constraints, and time to market
- Apply machine-learning and data-driven methods to RF/PHY problems, including neural DPD, channel estimation, interference or PIM classification, and beamforming
- Drive algorithms from research and simulation through specification, implementation, integration, and release
- Collaborate with architecture, systems, firmware, hardware, and validation teams
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience developing PHY/RF algorithms for wireless modems
- Strong understanding of cellular standards and their impact on modem design
- Understanding of RF/modem partitioning, practical RF constraints, and design trade-offs
- Experience designing Digital Front-End modules such as CFR, DPD, and up/down-samplers
- Experience designing algorithms targeted for RTL
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Master’s degree in communication theory and systems and/or signal processing
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience applying AI/ML to signal processing, RF, or PHY problems
- PhD in communication theory and systems or signal processing
