Responsibilities
- Lead planning and design of communications and technology infrastructure for buildings and data centers
- Manage projects from requirements and concept through detailed design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover
- Create technical drawings, layouts, schematics, execution plans, specifications, bills of quantities, and work plans
- Design communication rooms, racks, endpoints, cable pathways, trays, fiber-optic systems, copper cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure
- Coordinate infrastructure with electrical, construction, HVAC, safety, IT, and OT systems
- Work with architects, consultants, project managers, contractors, and vendors
- Supervise contractors and implementation teams on site
- Perform design compliance checks and resolve design or execution gaps
Requirements
- Significant experience designing communications systems and physical technology infrastructure for buildings or complex facilities
- Experience leading projects from initial planning through implementation and handover
- Ability to read architectural, construction, electrical, and systems drawings
- Hands-on experience creating infrastructure drawings and technical plans
- Strong AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio experience
- Experience designing communication rooms, racks, fiber-optic and copper cabling, and cable pathways
- Understanding of IT, OT, and low-voltage systems
- Experience supporting and supervising on-site construction or implementation activities
- Independent, hands-on working capability
- High-level English speaking, reading, and writing
- Willingness to travel between multiple sites and perform field work

- Experience with data center infrastructure
- Experience with large industrial, defense, healthcare, or technology campus projects
- Experience integrating IT and OT infrastructure
- Familiarity with communications and data center standards
- Experience preparing technical specifications and bills of quantities
- Background in electrical design or collaboration with electrical engineers
