Join a commissions team to translate sales compensation plans into implementable calculation logic, maintain accurate payout data, validate payroll files, and improve recurring finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Translate compensation plan rules, exceptions, and edge cases into technical specifications
- Collaborate on commission calculations and payout processing
- Synchronize source data and process account and contract changes
- Implement approved compensation adjustments and exceptions
- Quality-assure calculations and review payroll files before sign-off
- Prepare and validate data for commission-cycle close
- Build dashboards and reports covering payout trends, attainment, and exceptions
- Analyze results to inform commission policy and process improvements
- Develop and maintain AI-augmented economic models
- Improve operational efficiency and control processes
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in commission processing, finance operations, or revenue operations
- Experience with sales compensation or incentive plan administration
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with business intelligence tools
- Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses such as Athena or BigQuery
- Ability to translate between business requirements and technical implementation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ownership of recurring, deadline-driven processes
- Ability to prioritize during month-end and quarter-end periods
- Interest in AI tools and data automation
Nice to have
- Experience specifying or quality-assuring commission or payout calculation engines
- Understanding of SaaS models and ARR mechanics
- Experience with Jira or a similar ticketing system
- Salesforce or another CRM
- Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling
- AI/ML tool design or implementation in finance
