An early-stage quantum computing company is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and integrate the software stack supporting scalable neutral-atom quantum systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the software stack across multiple system layers.
- Build drivers, control software, and real-time components for laboratory equipment and physical hardware.
- Develop simulation, testing, monitoring, and data infrastructure, including cloud-based storage and remote-access systems.
- Create internal tools, APIs, and web interfaces for controlling, characterizing, and operating quantum processing systems.
- Integrate software across physics, optics, hardware, control, and software domains.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience across multiple layers of the stack.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building complex systems.
- Experience integrating software with hardware, laboratory equipment, or other physical systems.
- A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to collaborate across technical domains and multidisciplinary teams.
- Systems-oriented mindset, curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to learn new technical areas.
Nice to have
- Experience with system architecture, device drivers, real-time systems, scientific computing, digital signal processing, CUDA or GPU programming, C, C++, Rust, embedded programming, cloud infrastructure, or control systems.
