Join an enterprise cloud infrastructure team building a next-generation shared distributed filesystem. The role focuses on scalable, reliable, and resilient cloud storage software developed primarily in C++.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement key components of a distributed filesystem.
- Develop software primarily in C++.
- Improve system performance, reliability, efficiency, and resilience.
- Contribute to critical architecture and design decisions.
- Collaborate with filesystem engineering, product management, program management, SRE, and UX/UI teams.
- Work with product stakeholders and customers to address future requirements.
- Mentor team members and support team growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in a technical leadership role.
- Background in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking.
- Experience developing software in C or C++.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to architecture decisions.
