Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain a high-performance transport protocol across cloud network infrastructure.
- Design and optimize network software for reliability, scalability, low latency, and minimal data loss.
- Run network simulations to evaluate performance under varied conditions and identify bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement robust solutions.
- Improve network services using knowledge of network protocols and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead projects that advance network capabilities.
- Mentor junior engineers and track relevant industry developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of programming experience, with proficiency in at least one programming language.
Nice to have
- Mentoring, technical leadership, or engineering team leadership experience.
- Experience leading architecture and design for reliable, scalable systems.
- Data-center networking experience.
- Experience with network-related simulators.
- Experience in large-scale distributed environments.
- Knowledge of storage or transport protocols.
- Real-time development experience.
