Join a professional engineering team developing high-performance, multi-threaded, clustered, mission-critical server-side storage software on Linux. The role focuses on NAS components, file-system management, network file-sharing protocols, system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain NAS software components, including file-system management
- Implement and optimize NFSv3/4, SMB/CIFS, and S3 file-sharing protocols
- Troubleshoot complex performance, data-integrity, and reliability issues in clustered environments
- Collaborate with QA, product management, and software, hardware, and platform engineering teams
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable C++ code and participate in code reviews
- Improve code quality through Python test suites, code coverage, static analysis, and memory-leak detection
- Contribute to architecture decisions involving scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance
- Monitor and improve performance under high I/O and concurrent-access conditions
- Document technical designs, APIs, and operational procedures
Requirements
- 3–7 years of professional C++ development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to read and understand a large existing codebase
- Collaborative approach and demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong motivation and ability to learn independently
Nice to have
- Server-side development experience
- Performance-oriented development experience
- Familiarity with TCP/IP and networking protocols
