Lead hands-on development and architectural execution for a platform group building large-scale SaaS capabilities used by internal teams and external customers. Guide technical direction while contributing substantially to the codebase.
Responsibilities
- Lead or co-lead implementation of complex, cross-cutting platform features.
- Translate architectural goals into technical roadmaps and guide execution.
- Balance feature delivery with long-term architectural health and technical debt management.
- Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide technical mentorship.
- Act as the group’s primary technical contact for implementation patterns and tool selection.
- Coordinate with other technical leads to align cross-group implementations with broader architecture.
- Drive adoption of distributed-systems patterns and cloud-native practices through implementation and guidance.
- Promote AI tools that improve development lifecycles while retaining ownership of the system codebase.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Track record of building and maintaining large-scale SaaS systems.
- Hands-on experience solving complex technical problems through coding.
- Experience connecting high-level architecture with practical implementation across multiple teams.
- Strong proficiency with cloud-native technologies, particularly AWS.
- Proficiency in a modern backend language such as Go, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Ability to explain architectural trade-offs to engineering and product stakeholders.
