Lead enterprise architecture and technology strategy during a large-scale modernization of insurance platforms and digital services. The role combines executive-level influence with hands-on work across cloud, event-driven, microservices, and AI-enabled architectures.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve enterprise architecture and technology strategy
- Lead modernization of policy administration, claims, underwriting, pricing, and customer relationship platforms
- Drive cloud-native, event-driven, and microservices architecture at scale
- Lead adoption of agentic software delivery and AI-assisted development practices
- Design RAG architectures, knowledge graphs, MCP-based systems, and multi-agent architectures
- Establish governance, security, and evaluation frameworks for AI-generated code and analysis
- Own vendor and platform selection, build-versus-buy decisions, and technical debt strategy
- Partner with executives, product leaders, and engineering teams to translate strategy into architecture
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years in senior architecture roles
- Strong AWS cloud experience
- Expertise in microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, or MCP-based architectures
- Ability to influence executives and technical leaders through expertise
Nice to have
- Experience in insurance, banking, financial services, fintech, or payments
- Experience with policy administration, claims, or underwriting systems
