Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the Merchant Operations engineering team.
- Design and solve complex software architecture problems.
- Lead day-to-day execution and contribute to merchant-facing products.
- Maintain system architecture and support reliable, high-quality user experiences.
- Promote clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders on priorities and solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Fluent English.
- Strong knowledge of modern, large-scale, high-performance system architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Passion for continuous learning and following technology developments.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on system architecture.
- Experience with Kotlin or Java, microservices, AWS, and Spring.
- Experience in fintech, payment processing, or other financial services.
- Experience applying AI tools in everyday engineering work.
