Computer Systems Architect
Design and lead computing architectures for airborne systems, from early definition through delivery and operational deployment. The role covers processing, servers, storage, communications, system integration, and technical reviews with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and define computing architectures for airborne systems based on customer requirements.
- Support projects from early definition and characterization through delivery and operational deployment.
- Participate in technical reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR, with internal and external customers.
- Integrate systems with hardware, software, communications, systems engineering, integration, and test teams.
- Specify, evaluate, and compare alternative products and engineering solutions.
- Conduct trade studies balancing performance, cost, power consumption, weight, and complexity.
- Define and implement computing solutions adapted to military and commercial environmental conditions, including ruggedized and DO-160 requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or systems engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience developing or designing integrated computing systems.
- Deep understanding of processing, storage, and communications hardware.
- Experience with distributed and centralized computing architectures.
- Knowledge of military standards, including MIL-STD and DO-160.
- Very strong written and spoken Hebrew and English.
- Strong systems perspective, technology analysis skills, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with defense or airborne systems.
