Lead a team developing JavaScript browser security applications and components. Balance hands-on technical leadership with team management, roadmap ownership, and collaboration across functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of JavaScript engineers.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance browser security applications and components.
- Own the team's technical roadmap and priorities with product, design, and other stakeholders.
- Lead architecture and technical design discussions.
- Conduct code and design reviews and establish coding standards and security, quality, and performance practices.
- Plan team work, allocate tasks, and manage delivery timelines while contributing hands-on.
- Monitor browser security trends, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors to guide threat mitigation.
- Improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Support engineers' growth through feedback, one-on-ones, and career planning.
- Meet with customers to gather feedback, troubleshoot issues, and inform product improvements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years leading or managing a software development team.
- Experience coding in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent knowledge.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong problem-solving, mentoring, communication, and team-delivery skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with React.js and Webpack.
- Experience developing client-side applications for Windows.
- Experience with C#, server-side development, security products, or WebAssembly.
