Join a system Ethernet QA team validating virtual networking silicon and software through simulation. The role combines network protocol expertise, Python automation, and end-to-end quality ownership.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural designs and feature requirements.
- Design, develop, and execute functional, performance, and security tests for software releases.
- Build and maintain production-quality Python automation suites using object-oriented principles.
- Investigate defects, validate fixes, and drive issues through root-cause resolution.
- Use simulation platforms to validate code and debug ASIC behavior before hardware availability.
- Collaborate with R&D to lead product quality from design through deployment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on QA or networking experience.
- Advanced networking knowledge equivalent to CCNP level, including VLAN, STP, BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, PFC, ECN, RoCE, and QoS.
- Strong Python engineering skills, including object-oriented design and Pytest.
- Deep Linux proficiency for system analysis, log investigation, and debugging.
- Professional written and spoken English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker and traffic generation tools such as Ixia, TRex, or Scapy.
- Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of KVM or VMware virtualization platforms.
