A defense and space manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to validate complex integrated hardware, software, firmware, and systems in laboratory and field environments.
Responsibilities
- Author and maintain formal test documentation, including STP, STD, and STR documents.
- Conduct system-level, regression, and end-to-end testing against system requirements.
- Perform root-cause analysis, isolate software, hardware, and firmware issues, and analyze logs.
- Develop and maintain test automation infrastructure and scripts to improve coverage and shorten test cycles.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation for real-time measurements and system validation.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams to resolve laboratory and field issues.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of experience as a QA/System Tester or Integration Engineer in a multidisciplinary hardware/software integration environment.
- Experience using laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and understand system architecture.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, Serial/UART, and I2C/SPI protocols.
- Proficiency with scripting languages; Python is advantageous, as are Bash or Shell.
- Professional fluency in English, verbally and in writing.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time or embedded environments.
- Experience with Jira or ALM bug-tracking tools.
- Experience in clean rooms or with electro-optical or RF systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies.
