A mobile games company is seeking an experienced Game QA Specialist to own manual testing across gameplay, visuals, animations, UI, and feature releases. The role works closely with design, development, art, and product teams in an in-office or hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Test new game features, updates, and content throughout development.
- Identify, document, reproduce, and investigate bugs before escalating them to relevant teams.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to protect existing functionality.
- Ensure gameplay, visuals, animations, UI, and features match intended designs.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, checklists, and regression suites.
- Identify quality risks and edge cases early in the development process.
- Collaborate with game designers, developers, artists, and product teams on player experience quality.
- Support release readiness by testing critical flows and features thoroughly.
- Improve QA processes, documentation, and testing methodologies.
- Communicate issues, priorities, and quality concerns to stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of manual QA experience, preferably in gaming, mobile applications, or another complex digital product.
- Experience testing features from development through release.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and bug lifecycle management.
- Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, regression suites, and checklists.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues independently.
- Excellent attention to detail across gameplay, UI, visuals, animations, and functionality.
- Experience collaborating with developers, product teams, designers, or other cross-functional groups.
- Ability to prioritize testing according to risk, impact, and release requirements.
- Ability to work independently and own assigned features and testing areas.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

- Experience with Unity.
- Experience working on live games with frequent releases and content updates.
