An established telecommunications company is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to develop automation infrastructure and test wireless and cloud-based cellular solutions. The role is based in the Kinneret area and involves collaboration with R&D and international test engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation infrastructure
- Contribute to system design and architecture
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform hands-on testing in laboratory environments across different setups
- Work with R&D teams to understand system architecture, design, and functionality
- Collaborate with test engineers and remote international teams
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience using AI tools for automation development and planning
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with Robot Framework, Pytest, or similar automation frameworks
- Ability to write simple scripts in Python, Shell, or similar languages
- Strong spoken and written English
- Hands-on Linux experience
- Basic networking knowledge
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, communications, or computer science engineering
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Jenkins and Groovy
- Prior experience working in a laboratory environment
- Telecommunications experience
