A technology company is seeking a Firmware QA Engineer to validate firmware for Ethernet, InfiniBand, SmartNIC, and DPU networking products. The role combines firmware testing, Linux, networking, Python automation, and software development.
Responsibilities
- Review architecture and requirements documents for new features
- Design, develop, and implement tests for software and firmware releases
- Automate tests in an existing framework and extend its capabilities
- Report defects, reproduce issues, investigate root causes, and verify fixes
- Execute regression, performance, functional, and security testing
- Track testing progress and prepare summary reports
Requirements
- Practical engineering diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- At least 1 year of professional experience
- Proficient written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently, plan work, and take ownership
Nice to have
- Python scripting experience
- Networking knowledge or experience
- Experience with QA methodologies and test design
