Join a defense power electronics company developing rugged power supplies and power conversion systems. The role focuses on transferring products from R&D to stable serial production through hands-on engineering and manufacturing support.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI activities from prototypes through production.
- Transfer products from R&D to manufacturing.
- Improve manufacturability, assembly processes, and production readiness.
- Work with drawings, schematics, bills of materials, engineering change orders, and technical documentation.
- Support mechanical and electrical integration of enclosures, PCBs, connectors, wiring, and internal assemblies.
- Investigate production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, quality, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Support qualification and environmental testing for defense applications.
Requirements
- Mechanical or electrical engineering degree, or practical engineering qualification.
- Experience in NPI, product engineering, or a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on technical ability and strong troubleshooting skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with electromechanical products.
- Experience with power supplies, power electronics, or defense systems.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD standards and ruggedized electronics.
