Seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead complex naval air defense projects for a defense technology company. The role involves system architecture, integration, and performance analysis for advanced missile and radar systems, working closely with international clients and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering management and control for naval defense projects vis-à-vis customers
- Formulate project requirements derived from contract documents
- Define system architecture and system-of-systems components
- Write main system specifications
- Lead engineering project development, integration, and verification tests
- Integrate with ship systems developed by global industry partners
- Matrix-manage system engineers internally and at subcontractors
- Lead performance studies and development/acceptance tests domestically and abroad
- Provide engineering support for marketing activities
- Collaborate with customers and subcontractors in Israel and internationally
- Participate in sea trials on ships with installed systems
Requirements
- B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Software, Aeronautics, or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of systems engineering experience in complex development projects (system of systems, C4I, algorithms)
- Proven ability to manage and control engineering teams in a matrix environment
- Substantial experience in writing technical documents and conducting performance studies
- Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English
- Willingness to travel abroad
Nice to have
- M.Sc in Systems Engineering
- Familiarity with weapon systems, missiles, or air defense
- Independent work ability, systemic view, task orientation, and assertiveness
