IC Product Engineer
Drive silicon validation, yield optimization, and product maturity from tape-out to high-volume manufacturing. Leverage statistical analysis to improve yield and quality, working with Design, Test, Quality, and Foundry partners.
Responsibilities
- Drive wafer-level and final test yield enhancement, identifying root causes of yield drop and parametric shifts
- Analyze large-scale ATE data using JMP, Spotfire, or similar tools; perform correlation analysis and track yield metrics
- Partner with Design and Test teams to define characterization plans and establish production test limits
- Support offshore manufacturing, review yield baseline shifts, and drive continuous improvement programs
- Assist Failure Analysis and Reliability teams in investigating customer returns and qualifying new packages
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct IC/Semiconductor Product Engineering experience from post-silicon bring-up to high-volume production
- Hands-on proficiency with JMP, Spotfire, or equivalent statistical tools for handling STDF/wafer map data
- Deep understanding of SPC, baseline drift detection, Cpk, and correlation methodologies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field
Nice to have
- Experience with ATE platform hardware and test program development (e.g., Advantest V93000, Teradyne Ultraflex)
- Familiarity with fab processes, PCM/WAT data, and packaging assembly flows
- Proficiency in scripting for data extraction and automation (Python, PERL, Tcl, JMP JSL)
