Electronics Engineering Team Lead

Lead a team of 2–3 electronics engineers and serve as the technical authority for electronic board development. Own board design from concept through production release, collaborating with cross-functional teams on medical-device products.

Responsibilities

  • Own electronic board architecture, schematic design, and PCB layout strategy.
  • Lead design reviews covering schematics, layout, manufacturability, testability, EMC/EMI, safety, and regulatory needs.
  • Lead board-level failure analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2–3 electronics engineers; set priorities and review designs and performance.
  • Plan electronics development schedules and drive delivery against program milestones with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain design history documentation, risk management, and traceability in line with medical-device design controls.
  • Manage PCB fabrication and assembly vendors, component suppliers, and contract manufacturers; oversee prototyping and board bring-up.
  • Establish and improve design standards, checklists, and team practices.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on electronic board design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • At least 2 years leading or managing a team of electronics or hardware engineers.
  • Experience taking boards from concept through production, including NPI.
  • Knowledge of high-speed or low-noise design, power supplies, and signal integrity.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment for board bring-up and debugging.
  • Experience with EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or OrCAD.
  • Strong English communication skills for working with engineers, management, and external vendors.

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical devices and familiarity with ISO 13485, IEC 60601 standards, and FDA design controls.
  • Knowledge of regulated design documentation, verification and validation, CAPA, or external lab testing.
  • Experience with wireless connectivity, RF circuit or system design, ultrasound electronics, or laser systems electronics.
