Join a commercial marketplace engineering team building customer-facing experiences for discovering, evaluating, and purchasing software, services, and cloud solutions. Lead frontend architecture and complex features from design through production delivery in a hands-on senior role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of complex customer-facing features from specification and architecture through deployment, telemetry, and live-site ownership.
- Drive frontend architecture decisions covering component architecture, state management, modularity, performance, and maintainability.
- Partner with product management, design, and backend engineering to define requirements and deliver solutions to ambiguous problems.
- Use AI tooling as an integral part of the engineering workflow.
- Diagnose and resolve production defects and performance bottlenecks using telemetry and customer signals.
- Improve testing strategy, code health, reliability, and code review quality.
- Mentor engineers and participate in code and design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field and 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience building production web applications with React.js or a comparable modern framework such as Angular or Vue.
- Experience leading advanced features end to end, from technical design through production delivery and iteration.
- Experience using AI tooling as part of the daily development workflow.
- Strong frontend architecture, testing, performance, and production troubleshooting skills.
Nice to have
- Experience designing frontend architecture for large-scale production systems, including component architecture, state management, and performance at scale.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright.
- Experience building AI-powered product experiences.
- Experience developing cloud platforms using modern cloud architecture patterns.
- Experience with accessibility, performance, and user experience quality.
- Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and create alignment across teams.
