Build and own performant web experiences for an AI English learning product, business dashboards, acquisition funnels, SEO initiatives, and the company website.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features across AI tutor web experiences, acquisition funnels, dashboards, SEO initiatives, and the company website
- Translate Figma designs into clean, accurate, responsive interfaces
- Extend and improve the internal component library
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders to shape features
- Improve web and mobile-web performance, including load time, rendering, and bundle size
- Own test coverage for developed features
- Make technical tradeoffs independently and drive decisions within the area of ownership
- Use AI and agentic coding tools in daily development workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience, ideally on high-traffic consumer products
- Production experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- Strong skills in CSS Modules and modern CSS, including Grid, animations, transitions, and custom properties
- Experience translating Figma designs into accurate, responsive interfaces
- Experience building or maintaining a component library or design system, ideally with Storybook
- Understanding of web and mobile-web performance optimization and tradeoffs
- Experience with automated testing, including end-to-end testing with Playwright
- Experience using AI or agentic coding tools in production workflows
- Ability to work in backend or Python codebases when needed
- Strong product judgment and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with a headless CMS such as Strapi
- Familiarity with A/B testing tools including Statsig, LaunchDarkly, GrowthBook, or PostHog
- Familiarity with analytics and tracking infrastructure, including Mixpanel and attribution
