Lead the technical evolution of a scalable design system and AI-ready frontend platform. Own shared UI infrastructure used by multiple product teams in a hybrid Israel environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the modernization and technical direction of the design system
- Own component architecture, design tokens, theming, accessibility, and performance
- Improve designer and developer adoption through better documentation and simpler upgrades
- Make the design system machine-readable and compatible with automation and AI-assisted development
- Define quality standards, testing strategy, and governance for design system changes
- Collaborate with product design, frontend, platform, and DevOps teams
- Mentor engineers and advance frontend platform practices
Requirements
- At least 7 years of frontend engineering experience
- Strong experience building or leading a design system, UI platform, or shared frontend infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of React, component architecture, and scalable frontend patterns
- Experience working in large, multi-team environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Nice to have
- Experience with design tokens, Figma integrations, or schema-driven UI systems
- Exposure to developer experience, CI/CD, or automation tooling
- Experience with or interest in AI-assisted development
