Senior DevOps Engineer
A semiconductor technology company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Chip Design Technologies group. The role focuses on building Python-based automation infrastructure, managing compute farm health, and driving reliability for chip design and verification workflows. Requires 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, strong Linux skills, and incident response capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with chip design teams to identify workflow bottlenecks and deliver infrastructure solutions that improve productivity and quality.
- Design, build, and maintain Python-based automation infrastructure for chip design flows, monitoring, and tooling.
- Drive scalability, integrity, and performance of compute infrastructure.
- Own the health, capacity, and reliability of compute farm and storage systems, including incident response and long-term fixes.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Python infrastructure engineering, focused on automation or tooling for Linux-based compute and storage systems.
- Strong DevOps and automation development expertise.
- Solid Linux systems fundamentals (processes, networking, filesystems) with experience managing NFS, permissions, and quotas.
- Proven incident response capabilities and a track record of owning critical systems with high availability requirements.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with hardware verification workflows and semiconductor industry compute/storage demands.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale infrastructure and databases (metrics, logs, tracing) and alert tuning.
- Exposure to building and maintaining REST services for internal tooling, service accounts, and secrets management.
- Proven ability to identify efficiency gaps in infrastructure workflows and deliver impactful automation improvements.
