Senior Software Engineer – Backend / Full Stack

Clalit Innovation is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to turn AI models and prototypes into secure, stable, and scalable enterprise products. The role collaborates with data science, software development, and infrastructure teams and supports solutions from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend systems, microservices, and APIs
- Build user interfaces and frontend applications for internal products
- Create integration layers connecting AI models, data sources, enterprise systems, and user-facing applications
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance
- Provide ongoing technical support after product release
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across systems and technologies
Requirements
- At least 5 years of substantial backend development experience in Python
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and services
- Experience debugging, monitoring, maintaining, and supporting production systems
- Experience with relational databases and/or big data and data-streaming technologies
- Familiarity with core data science and machine learning concepts
- Ability to learn independently and adopt new technologies quickly
Nice to have
- Experience building user interfaces and frontend applications
- Familiarity with LLM technologies, platforms, and development tools
- Experience designing and developing batch-process pipelines
- Experience with Jenkins and Azure DevOps
