Join a surveillance engineering team building and operating AI-powered production systems for digital communications governance. Own backend architecture, implementation, technology selection, and production reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software infrastructure and backend solutions for AI and analytical surveillance pipelines
- Own architecture decisions and evaluate technology choices
- Solve complex engineering problems from investigation and design through implementation and rollout
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts to deliver scalable production systems
- Investigate production issues and improve observability and operability
- Build and operate containerized services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes
- Maintain high engineering standards through unit testing and CI/CD best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience
- Experience designing software architecture for production systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Linux and containerized-environment experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Experience with distributed data and messaging technologies such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis
- Experience with unit testing and CI/CD practices
- Experience supporting production environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
