Join a platform engineering team building scalable backend foundations for financial software. Lead technical initiatives, improve engineering practices, and collaborate with engineers, product teams, and architects.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve core platform capabilities for multiple products and teams
- Translate business, product, and customer needs into robust technical solutions
- Improve architecture, infrastructure, reliability, observability, security, and SaaS readiness
- Drive improvements to SDLC practices, engineering standards, and development processes
- Lead technical initiatives, establish direction, create alignment, and mentor engineers
- Promote practical adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on backend and platform engineering experience
- At least 5 years designing and building large-scale backend systems with Java
- At least 3 years of production experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud-native architectures
- Strong experience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable production systems
- Solid experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience improving engineering processes, development workflows, and technical standards
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or similar
- Python experience is advantageous
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring skills
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD, observability, reliability, and production operations
- Experience in security- and compliance-focused environments
- Experience supporting or driving SaaS transformation
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS
