Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement solutions affecting core system components
- Develop features for classification products
- Build and improve scalable distributed systems and microservices
- Use cloud-native technologies to solve product and engineering challenges
- Drive continuous improvements to development processes
- Maintain high standards for code quality and engineering practices
- Lead software projects from design through implementation
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience in languages such as Scala, Java, Rust, Clojure, Kotlin, or Go
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, functional programming, data structures, multithreading, and distributed systems
- Experience with distributed in-memory caches such as Aerospike or Redis
- Experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL and columnar or NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Vertica, Snowflake, Couchbase, or Cassandra
- Experience building scalable distributed systems in big data environments
- Experience with stream-processing technologies such as Akka Streams, Kafka Streams, Spark, or Flink
- Experience with GCP or AWS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
Nice to have
- Experience with online advertising technologies
- Familiarity with cloud-native computing foundations
