Join a cybersecurity product team building backend and edge components that integrate detection and enforcement capabilities into customer environments. Own production features from design through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend and edge components
- Develop secure, reliable services and SDKs using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Own technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operation
- Optimize latency-sensitive components for performance and reliability
- Solve portability and integration challenges across platforms, runtimes, and customer architectures
- Collaborate with Product, Security Research, Customer Success Engineering, and Engineering teams
- Investigate production and customer-integration issues and convert findings into improvements
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience focused on backend or platform engineering
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript proficiency, including production Node.js systems
- Understanding of backend fundamentals, HTTP services, APIs, and web infrastructure
- Experience writing clean, testable, maintainable code and owning features through production
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
Nice to have
- Experience with CDNs such as Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, or AWS CloudFront
- Familiarity with cloud, serverless, or edge-computing environments
- Experience with Go, Rust, C, or C++
- Knowledge of HTTP, networking, reverse proxies, web servers, NGINX, or Kubernetes
- Experience developing SDKs, developer tools, integrations, or customer-deployed software
- Background in cybersecurity, bot mitigation, fraud prevention, or latency-sensitive security products
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools
