Join a payments engineering team building resilient, production-grade systems that improve transaction authorization and merchant outcomes. Own work end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop payment products and new systems
- Build and improve resilient infrastructure for critical workloads
- Own architecture, coding, deployment, monitoring, and production operations
- Lead technical initiatives and help set team direction
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and customers
- Translate customer needs into payment solutions
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues
- Mentor and support other engineers
- Identify and implement improvements to systems and workflows
Requirements
- 6+ years building and maintaining complex software systems
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience focused on production-grade systems
- At least 1 year of JavaScript experience
- Hands-on experience with highly available, reliable, and scalable production systems
- Familiarity with browser, networking, and security concepts
- Professional-level spoken and written English
Nice to have
- Extensive Node.js experience
- Experience leading cross-team initiatives
- Frontend, React, or mobile development experience
- Experience with MySQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch
- Experience in payments companies or projects
- Experience building enterprise-grade SaaS products
