Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and maintain scalable, high-throughput backend services and distributed systems
- Own features and projects from technical design through deployment and production monitoring
- Build and optimize core APIs and integration layers
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using engineering best practices
- Lead architectural decisions and technical design discussions
- Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and security
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and maintain high availability and low latency
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer building complex, scalable distributed systems in production
- Strong proficiency in a modern backend language such as Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or Java
- Experience building or integrating AI agent frameworks, LLM applications, or vector databases
- Experience delivering high-quality software in an agentic or dynamic AI environment
- Expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and message-driven architectures such as Kafka
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL or caching solutions such as MongoDB and Redis
- Strong understanding of AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to lead technical projects from concept through production deployment
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience integrating data from complex enterprise platforms such as SAP or Workday
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Helm, or ArgoCD
