Join an enterprise AI and machine learning software company building open-source MLOps capabilities. Own backend features and components from analysis and architecture through implementation, testing, and maintenance across Kubernetes, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, and bare-metal environments.
Responsibilities
- Co-own and contribute to open-source projects written in Python and Go
- Lead backend features from inception and analysis through design, implementation, testing, and maintenance
- Participate in architectural decisions affecting the product
- Own and maintain software components and tools
- Design and implement well-architected, maintainable backend systems
- Work with distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and concurrent programming
- Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters and related ecosystem tools
- Work across hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud, and bare-metal infrastructure
- Continuously expand technical skills and explore cloud-native technologies
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong development skills and deep system-level understanding
- Experience designing and implementing backend architectures
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, including scalability, consistency models, fault tolerance, and concurrent programming
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming
- Experience managing and operating Kubernetes clusters, including familiarity with Helm or Operators
- Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Ability to work independently through complex infrastructure and application-level challenges
