Build and own scalable, mission-critical backend systems for a large parking technology platform. Lead complex projects from technical design through production support, collaborate across engineering teams, and help advance AI-enabled development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead backend projects from functional specifications and technical design through deployment and production support
- Design, develop, and own scalable production-grade backend systems
- Architect and lead cloud-native microservices and distributed systems on AWS
- Make data architecture decisions across multiple storage technologies
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Frontend, and other engineering teams
- Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates, and uphold engineering standards
- Use AI coding assistants to improve development productivity
- Build reusable AI sub-agents, skills, and templates for team workflows
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development experience with end-to-end feature ownership
- Hands-on experience using AI tools or building AI-powered solutions
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, preferably AWS
- Strong knowledge of system design, architecture principles, and design patterns
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, schema design, and performance optimization
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple engineering teams
- Strong communication, proactive working style, and team orientation
- Curiosity about emerging technologies
