A fintech company is hiring a junior Software Engineer to build and maintain high-performance backend services for an algorithmic trading platform. The role is full-time and on-site in Israel, with close collaboration across engineering, quantitative research, and trading teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services
- Implement features and optimize existing code for performance and reliability
- Integrate market data and execution systems
- Translate trading concepts into production-ready software with quantitative researchers
- Write clean, tested code and conduct code reviews
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards
Requirements
- Strong foundation in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems concepts
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, C++, or Java
- Experience with backend development, APIs, microservices, databases, or distributed systems
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with Linux, Git, and CI/CD workflows
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with fintech, trading systems, or low-latency applications
- Hebrew language skills
