Develop and maintain backend software for real-time traffic prediction and control systems. Build scalable services, integrate APIs and data pipelines, and improve production reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend software components.
- Develop scalable backend services and optimize algorithms for performance.
- Integrate data pipelines and APIs.
- Translate traffic and machine learning requirements into robust software solutions.
- Monitor and improve production system reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in programming and object-oriented programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with backend web development, RESTful APIs, microservices, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience with Linux-based environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms or containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Interest in real-time systems, computer vision, or machine learning products.
