Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a software development team
- Own the full development lifecycle from requirements and design through delivery and support
- Develop and maintain core business applications and supporting systems
- Troubleshoot complex issues and improve performance across critical systems
- Work with databases, Linux servers, and diverse development environments
- Lead complex technology projects
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Practical Engineer degree in Software Engineering or equivalent technological education; a Computer Science B.Sc. is advantageous
- Development experience with Java, C, and SQL
- Hands-on Linux experience, including scripting
- Experience with DB2 and SQL Server stored procedures
- Experience managing enterprise systems and leading complex development projects
- Experience with large-scale, high-volume transactional systems
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Nice to have
- C# experience
- Git, SVN, IntelliJ, or Visual Studio familiarity
- Multithreaded programming experience
- JavaScript, Angular, or Struts experience
- Systems engineering background
- Agile methodology knowledge
- Cloud technology experience
- Knowledge of AI solutions
