Join a high-agency CTO Office team developing working prototypes for emerging AI agent security problems. You will combine engineering, research, and product thinking to validate difficult technical opportunities and help move successful capabilities into production.
Responsibilities
- Scope open problems in AI agent security and turn them into working proofs of concept
- Design, build, evaluate, document, and ship prototypes end to end
- Define architecture, tooling, and technical tradeoffs
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, research, and go-to-market teams
- Identify emerging AI and security trends
- Hand validated capabilities over to Engineering and Product
- Lead incubation efforts when a new direction warrants a dedicated team
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building, scaling, and operating production systems
- Application and infrastructure engineering experience across diverse environments and platforms
- Expertise in a modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, Go, C#, or Java
- Experience running large-scale services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents, including understanding their operation, failure modes, instrumentation, and evaluation
- Experience in cybersecurity and ability to collaborate with offensive and defensive security practitioners
- Product judgment and the ability to balance user needs with technical feasibility
- Ability to work from an open-ended problem, define success, move quickly, and communicate technical direction
Nice to have
- Experience with AI agents and AI agent security
- Experience with inline instrumentation, eBPF, CASB, or sandboxing
- Former cybersecurity founder or CTO experience
- Public technical work such as blog posts, conference talks, open-source contributions, security research, or published papers
