A cybersecurity research and development company is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own the architecture and hands-on implementation of an agentic AI malware analysis and threat intelligence platform for secure, air-gapped environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture of LLM pipelines, agent orchestration layers, malware analysis engines, and local cyber threat intelligence knowledge bases
- Develop backend, infrastructure, and AI/ML components
- Build agentic AI capabilities for automated malware analysis workflows using LLMs, autonomous agents, and multi-agent orchestration
- Integrate AI systems with binary analysis tools, disassemblers, debuggers, and sandbox environments
- Lead LLM fine-tuning and adaptation using malware samples, threat intelligence feeds, and behavioral telemetry
- Design air-gapped and on-premises deployments, including model lifecycle management, secure updates, data isolation, and system hardening
- Turn advanced research prototypes into scalable, reliable, production-grade systems
- Review YARA rules, feature extraction pipelines, model outputs, and architecture decisions
- Improve the explainability and reliability of AI outputs, including human-readable analyses of behaviors and attack chains
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience owning architecture and system design for complex distributed systems
- Strong low-level programming experience, with C++ required
- Deep expertise in manual and automated reverse engineering, low-level systems analysis, and binary feature extraction
- Production experience with LLMs, deep learning models, and ML pipelines, including fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment
- Experience with multi-agent systems, autonomous agents, and orchestration frameworks
- Experience designing secure systems for air-gapped or highly restricted environments
- Ability to work across architecture, workflow orchestration, implementation, and debugging
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive complex, ambiguous work to completion
- High attention to accuracy, consistency, and interpretability
Nice to have
- Rust programming experience
- Experience with ReAct or similar agent orchestration paradigms
- Experience with binary analysis, network traffic analysis, and CTI ingestion pipelines
