Join an identity security company’s AI Engineering team to build the platform and production features powering AI-driven access protection. Own systems from research and prototyping through architecture, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing reliability improvements.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own a company-wide AI platform
- Develop AI-powered features for real-time access decisions and background analysis agents
- Research models and frameworks and build evaluation harnesses
- Balance reliability, latency, and cost when taking systems into production
- Set technical direction, architecture, standards, and reusable infrastructure for a new team
- Drive initiatives end-to-end across product and engineering
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend software development experience, including end-to-end ownership of production systems
- Strong backend engineering skills; the team primarily uses TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience taking systems from 0 to 1 in ambiguous environments
- Strong system architecture and design skills, including independent reliability, latency, and scalability tradeoffs
- Experience with SQL databases
- Ability to prototype and validate emerging technologies
- Cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Production experience with AI agent systems
- Background in information security or identity platforms
- Experience with NestJS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or Nx monorepos
