Join a team building production-grade AI systems for customs inspection and fraud detection. You will design end-to-end workflows combining LLMs, computer vision, documents, text, and structured data.
Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, and integrate LLM, computer vision, and other AI models into scalable production systems
- Design multimodal AI approaches for X-ray images, scanned documents, textual declarations, and numerical data
- Develop AI workflows connecting data ingestion, model inference, LLM reasoning, production software, and customer-facing decisions
- Build systems that accelerate cargo X-ray inspections and identify fraudulent trade activity
- Apply state-of-the-art methods to customs data, documents, and annotated X-ray scans
- Write production-grade code and collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, product teams, computer vision engineers, and customs experts
- Deploy research outcomes into live systems while considering performance, scale, integration points, and policy constraints
Requirements
- At least 8 years of industry experience building and shipping ML, deep learning, or AI systems
- Strong software engineering skills for designing, building, debugging, optimizing, and maintaining scalable AI systems
- Production or production-like experience developing, integrating, evaluating, or deploying LLM-based systems
- Experience designing complete AI workflows covering data ingestion, model integration, inference, reasoning, deployment, monitoring, and user-facing outputs
- Track record of delivering production ML or AI systems rather than research prototypes alone
- Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or a similar framework
- Experience working with large-scale, noisy, imbalanced, or domain-specific datasets
- Understanding of multimodal AI and fusion of visual, textual, and numerical data
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

- Experience with AWS or GCP
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with customs or logistics applications
- Experience with multi-view visual reasoning
- Computer vision or image-processing experience
