Responsibilities
- Lead AI-driven initiatives from scoping and architecture through hands-on execution
- Drive adoption of AI tools and practices across development and DevOps teams
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering velocity, incident response, cost efficiency, and system reliability
- Coordinate stakeholders, dependencies, and execution across teams and departments
- Translate AI capabilities into practical, production-grade solutions
- Evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and approaches for engineering use
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on AI/ML in production environments
- Hands-on experience with backend services, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, infrastructure, observability, and cloud operations
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML solutions in cloud-native, distributed systems; AWS experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and anomaly detection
- Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority
- Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-AI engineers and align stakeholders around outcomes
Nice to have
- Experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, or AI agents for engineering operations
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Grafana, or similar operational tools
- Background in media technology, video streaming, or telecommunications platforms
- Experience with Databricks, MLflow, or similar machine learning platform tools
- Track record of introducing AI tooling that improved team velocity or system reliability at scale
