Responsibilities
- Build agent execution systems and tool integrations for cybersecurity workflows and target environments.
- Develop evaluation and observability infrastructure to measure agent behavior, investigate failures, and improve system quality.
- Create backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and internal tooling as product usage and complexity grow.
- Develop reliable autonomous workflows and debug issues across the stack.
- Make architecture decisions across prototyping, hardening, and production operation.
- Collaborate with founders, AI researchers, and security specialists on ambiguous technical problems.
Requirements
- Hands-on cybersecurity experience with the ability to explain systems, problems, and technical decisions you personally handled.
- Experience shipping AI-powered software such as agents, LLM integrations, inference systems, or AI evaluation infrastructure beyond a standalone demo.
- End-to-end ownership of production software, including scoping, implementation, deployment, debugging, and iteration.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and willingness to investigate failures beneath framework abstractions.
- Practical judgment balancing speed, reliability, maintainability, and cost, supported by implemented and evaluated tradeoffs.
- High agency, clear prioritization, and concise communication.
Nice to have
- Experience at a pre-seed through Series B startup or in a comparable founder, early-engineer, or resource-constrained environment.
- Depth in backend engineering, distributed systems, infrastructure, developer tooling, or low-level systems.
- Substantial independent projects or open-source work demonstrating technical curiosity and initiative.
