Seeking a SQL Server DBA with at least three years of hands-on experience to manage infrastructure and application database responsibilities in a complex production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and operate Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances and servers.
  • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and conduct performance tuning.
  • Optimize queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans.
  • Maintain high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.
  • Maintain jobs, ETL processes, and database-related automations.

Requirements

  • At least three years of practical experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA.
  • Proven experience in both infrastructure and application database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of execution plans, indexing, locking, blocking, and deadlocks.
  • Experience with SQL Server Agent and jobs.
  • Familiarity with high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze complex issues, and maintain attention to detail.

Nice to have

  • Experience with large SQL Server environments and high-availability systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience supporting high-load systems with 24/7 availability requirements.
