Senior Database Administrator

Own the design, implementation, performance, and reliability of database infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer production SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and improve indexing.
  • Manage Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance environments, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Manage BigQuery costs, access, permissions, and query performance across large datasets.
  • Use PowerShell, Python, and T-SQL to automate infrastructure, database maintenance, and operational tasks.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Application DBA
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and solve complex problems

Nice to have

  • Infrastructure DBA experience
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data or data warehouse environments on Google Cloud Platform
