An international industrial organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Database Administrator to own its database environments and support production, testing, performance, recovery, and security operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments across production and test systems.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, resolve deadlocks, and optimize queries.
- Manage backup and recovery processes, including periodic restore testing.
- Perform version upgrades, preventive maintenance, and ongoing database optimization.
- Manage database security, users, and permissions according to organizational policies.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, application teams, and external vendors.
- Support MongoDB, Oracle, BI systems, and Priority ERP environments.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow change management processes.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA.
- Experience managing and maintaining SQL Server environments.
- Experience with backup and recovery processes, including transaction log backups.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning and database optimization.
- Experience managing database security and permissions.
- Experience supporting production environments in medium to large organizations.
Nice to have
- Experience with MongoDB, Oracle Database, Priority ERP databases, or BI environments.
- Experience with NetApp storage solutions.
